Her First Day Of Change

Casa Arcoiris de Anna Renovation Diary – September 5, 2025
Her first day of change.
Aluminum window screens arrive --
frames of strength waiting to guard her spaces.
On clean floors, tools and hands prepare each piece with care.
Not yet finished, not yet perfect --
but today marks the quiet beginning of her transformation.

Carport and entryway, still bare for now.
With window screens installed, this space will feel complete and secure.

Under a gray sky, the façade waits while tools and cables arrive.
Small beginnings at the doorstep of change.

Materials on the move -- delivery rolls in for Day One.
Quiet logistics behind a safer, breezier Casa Arcoiris de Anna.

Unloading the day’s work -- screen frames coming out one by one.
Quiet logistics, visible progress for Casa Arcoiris de Anna.

The first frame crosses the threshold --
measured, fitted, and ready to let the breeze in while keeping the peace inside.

Stacked screen frames in a quiet corner -- strength waiting its turn.

Beside the window they’ll guard, the frames wait patiently --
light ready to meet protection.

On the clean tiles, measurements and wiring --
patience and precision shaping each screen before it meets the window.

Assembly on the kitchen floor -- frames squared, corners tightened.
Real work, real mess, and real progress shining on the tiles.

By the kitchen, a frame takes shape -- mesh stretched, edges trimmed.
Today’s mess, tomorrow’s comfort.

In the powder room, a small window finds its guard --
privacy kept, fresh air allowed in.

Living room window, framed and ready -- light in, worries out.
The breeze will stay; the bugs won’t.
